Narrative:Crashed shortly after takeoff from Crissy Field. Both pilots, LT Robert W. Coons (Aberdeen, Washington) and Lt. William H. Elbin (Tacoma, Washington) were killed. Their bodies and the wreckage of the aircraft was recovered shortly after the crash.
