Narrative:
Mustang 9579 from No. 442 (Aux) Sqn at RCAF Sea Island, BC where it was destroyed in a crash on 25/01/1953 Engine failure on takeoff, landed straight ahead across Airport Road in Richmond.
Crashed shortly after take-off due to engine failure which "ripped off the propeller and most of the undercarriage".
Crew:
F/O Charles Dodwell (pilot) RCAF slightly injured.
