Narrative:Kittyhawk 1049 (ex.AK887) Fighter airplane crashed into residential area when failed to come out of a loop.
The plane was diverted from RAF order placed in May 1940, serial AK887. Equivalent to USAAF P-40D.
With No. 111(F) Squadron at RCAF Sea Island, BC when it crashed and burned on 27/12/1941.
Landed in front of 2261 South West Marine Drive, Vancouver, B.C.
Probably still had RAF serial marked at time of crash.
