Narrative:
c/no. 6033 (Gipsy Major #5226/5227); Registered G-ACGK [C of R 4357] 1.6.33 to Eric Cecil Gordon England, general manager and nominee for Vacuum Oil Co Ltd, Hanworth. Middlesex. C of A 3968 issued 30.6.33; delivered 3.7.33. Flown on tour to Java; returned to UK 11.33. Flown on survey flight England-Australia and return 12.33-1.34 (56 days and 340 flying hours), piloted by Vacuum’s sales manager Henry J [Edward]
White. Delivered 9/10.7.34 and registered [C of R 5227] 11.7.34 to Highland Airways Ltd, Inverness, named "Loch Ness"

Written off when ditched 20 yards off beach at Beauly Firth, at Longman Point, off Inverness 8.1.35. This aircraft crashed on take-off from Longman Airport. Cause attributed to power loss caused by carburetor icing; Pilot Captain, Eric Coleman, and both passengers - Mr & Mrs William Firth - injured. Airframe salvaged but not repaired/rebuilt.

The Beauly Firth (Scottish Gaelic: Linne Fharair) is a firth in northern Scotland. It is the outlet for both the River Beauly and River Ness. The Beauly Firth is bounded at its western end by the town of Beauly and its eastern end by Inverness, where it empties into the Moray Firth.

Registration G-ACGK cancelled by the Air Ministry 2.12.1934 due to "destruction or total withdrawl from use of aircraft"; oddly this was a month BEFORE the aircraft crashed(!). Presumably a clerical error, and actually cancelled in the 2nd quarter of 1935 (=between 1.4.35 and 30.6.35)
