Narrative:
On 14 May 2021, a Polish Air Force MiG-29 operated by the 41st Aviation Squadron sustained damage while taking part in a training exercise at 21 Centralny Poligon Lotniczy in Nadarzyce.

According to a statement from the General Command of the Armed Forces:
"There was an air accident at the Central Aviation Training Ground in Nadarzyce, where flights were performed by the crews of the 22nd Tactical Air Base in Malbork, but it was not a situation in which one plane fired at another. After the landing of the MiG-29 plane, the technician found damage to the lower part of the fuselage, therefore the damage was investigated by the State Aviation Accident Investigation Commission."

The Armed forces claimed that the MiG-29 aircraft involved in the incident was still in operational status, despite reportedly being damaged.

The Polish news site Onet claimed that the aircraft was damaged in a far greater manner than described by the Ministry of National Defence. According to Onet, during exercises at Nadarzyce, a Polish MiG-29 accidentally fired on another MiG-29 using its Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-1 autocannon, causing significant damage to the aircraft.
