A hot air balloon came down amid trees, injuring all 9 occupants.

Probable causes
- Loss of control during landing.
- Hard landing due to excessive wind, sink and airspeed.

Probable factors
- Unfavourable choice of landing site.
- High airspeed, sink rate and ground wind speed.
- The balloon was not turned correctly (turning valves).
- Little flying experience on this type.
- Failure to use the pilot restraint system.
