Conclusion
Most likely, the accident with helicopter R 66 RA- 07390 occurred during a night flight when performing an intensive turn (with a roll angle of more than 30º) due to the loss of visual contact with ground landmarks, which led to an uncontrolled increase in vertical descent rate, loss of altitude and collision with the ground surface.
The most likely contributing factors to the aircraft accident were:
- the flight commander's failure to take into account the risks associated with performing an ATC flight at night over unlit, poorly orientated terrain and in conditions of possible icing;
- reduction of the flight crew's performance capacity due to illness.
