A Cessna F182Q Skylane (Reims) crashed during takeoff at Bamberg-Breitenau Airport (EDQA) and came to rest upside down at the airport fence.
The pilot initially survived but succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The aircraft was destroyed by fire.

According to eyewitnesses, the aircraft lifted off shortly before the end of the paved area and entered a stalled flight condition without gaining altitude. It narrowly cleared the approximately 2.50-meter-high approach lighting for runway 03. Shortly thereafter, it banked to the right and crashed.

A lack of situational awareness and stress very probably led to the pilot making a wrong turn when taxiing onto the runway and not realising that only a very small part of the runway was available for the take-off run. Situational overload ultimately led to him not aborting the take-off run.
