Narrative:
The recreational VFR-flight was conducted in the St. Bernhard area. The flight out was at somewhat higher altitude, but below the peak of 3051m as highest in the area. The flight back was at a slightly lower altitude, where the pilot and sole occupant probably was surprised by excessive downdrafts from the mountains. The aircraft impacted the ground at approximately 2900m and was destroyed. Due to the inaccessability ot the terrain, the search for the wreckage took some days.
