Narrative:Porter Airlines flight PD2485, a DHC-8-402, was climbing through approximately 16 000 feet, when a rapid depressurization occurred. The flight crew initiated an emergency descent, declared a PAN PAN, and descended down to 7 000 feet. Attempts to troubleshoot the problem in co-ordination with maintenance were unsuccessful. The flight crew returned to CYTZ and landed safely.
The aircraft resumed regular service on 18 June 2024.
